Being a resident of Fairfax City you have lots of amenities that you have to pay for in other areas. The taxes are the lowest in the area and the City strives to keep it that way.
FC offers free weekly trash pick-up. On occasion we have actually been out of town on trash day & the garbage workers have actually gone to our trash container & emptied our trash for us. FC has seasonal leaf pick up in addition to year round removal of other households items such as couches, lawn furniture, etc. picked up at no charge to the owner & without notice to them prior. Just put it out with your regular trash & recyclables on trash day.

The City offers many festivals through out the year in downtown (approx. 1 mile) from Bevan Dr.

Down the street on Jermantown Rd is a golf course/recreational center with a driving range & walking trail.

With a movie complex, multiple restaurants, nightlife, shops and a Wegman's Grocery Store.
Fair Oaks Mall is also the same distance just over Rt 66.
1 1/2miles in the opposite direction is Old Town Fairfax, another Town Center is currently being built with Restaurants & Shops. Main St already has a variety of Restaurants ranging from fine dining to pub style food.
This is a very exciting & fun area to live in.
Fairfax City,is desirable to many as this suburban neighborhood is centrally located to all major roadways and offers quick access to Rt 29, Rt 50, Rt 123, Rt 66, Rt 95 & Rt 495 as well as a short distance to the Vienna Metro Station, an easy commute to Washington D.C. and Government facilities.

I'd like to share a few plans for we had for the home, but were unable do to job transfer.
- We wanted to convert the attic to either a 5th bedroom and add dormers for taller living space or make it a playroom for our children.
- We also had dreams to add an addition on to the back of the home and make a large family room with full length windows and attach a deck. Extending the kitchen into this room as well while adding on to the Master Bedroom/Bathroom.
Although this comfortable home is ready for immediate occupancy, we planned on increasing the size of our family and this home had the flexibility to do so with a large flat backyard for privacy.
